For a lot of us, consent is something that we started learning about for ourselves in adolescence or even adulthood. However, in recent years consent-based approaches to parenting and caring for infants and young people have become increasingly prevalent and research into the positive impact of this is growing.
At Bean Learning consent is at the heart of our ethos and as such we would love to share with you our knowledge and experience of using a consent-based approach with infants and children.
During this hour-long presentation, we’ll look at:
Consent-based approach from birth
Newborn & preverbal communication
Checking consent with infants
Supporting autonomy
Non-verbal communication
Practical tips
