Sarah Ridgeon

(she/her)

Sarah qualified as a primary school teacher in 2009 after achieving a first class honours degree in Music. She has over ten years experience working in primary schools: as a class teacher, governor and subject leader for English in a state-funded school in London; and as the Primary Coordinator in a British school in Barcelona.

Sarah completed a Masters of Science in the Psychology of Education (BPS) with distinction and has conducted research into using an unconditional approach with young people. She worked as a director and mentor at a consent-based, unconditional children’s community until she had to begin shielding due to being registered as extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 in March 2020. Determined to continue to support families and young people whilst shielding at home, she co-founded Bean Learning and uses her experience and research to offer training to educators and childcare providers.

Sarah is an advocate for children's rights and loves maths, English, strategy games, Lego and playing in orchestras in her home city.

Sarah offers scheduled and bespoke group events for children, workshops and discussion groups for adults and individual parent/carer consultations.

Sarah is an accredited Arts Award advisor.
