Jem Stopes

(they/them)

Jem is a mediator and coach, a facilitator, and a psychotherapist in training.

They trained in mediation and NVC in 2016, and in the Restorative Circles Approach in 2017. They worked with Resolve West from first training until late 2020 on a wide range of cases within the community. From 2019 onwards they have held their own private practice offering conflict resolution within inter-personal and professional contexts.

Jem is particularly passionate about working with entrenched communication breakdown in complex relationships; where people have invested a lot and the stakes are high – e.g. in families, business partnerships, and lifelong friendships.

Jem also offers one-to-one coaching, both as a component of their approach to mediation, and as an accredited life coach with the Association for Coaching. Their coaching practice is informed by their psychotherapy studies and their work as a mental resilience trainer; they seek to include all parts of the client's being – psycho-social, emotional, spiritual and professional into the quest to reach their goals.

In their spare time, Jem produces community events with their mobile sauna and plays music with friends. They love dancing, yoga and nature.

Jem offers relationship mediation and coaching, and one-to-one personal development coaching.
