Starting Thursday 13th January (4.30pm-5.30pm GMT)
£40 per child / £55 per child inc. Discover Arts Award
*Optional add-on*
Your child can complete a Discover Arts Award as part of this block. We will create, learn and share skills together as we go along and you can decide with your child how to record their progress. Just send us a few photos, drawings, written work, videos or audio recordings to earn a certificate. This is a great introduction to the Arts Awards (we offer Explore, Bronze and Silver Awards too) or just a fun project to do together! Ideal for children who prefer a more flexible learning style.
£55 includes 6-weeks of sessions plus facilitation for the award, a Discover log book and certificate.
Interactive arts and crafts sessions where we will learn about famous and little known artists as we use art to express ourselves and inspire each other.
Each week we will learn about a different artist or maker, consider how we feel when we experience their art and decide whether we want to try making something in their style or something of our own!
Our sessions are learner-led and each one is an adventure we take together. Depending on the interests of the children, we may explore:
Stories and storytelling
Social, emotional and communication skills
History
Design
Science and Nature
Drawing
Making / junk modelling
Book your child in for inspiration and creativity with childminder and home educator, Jay Byrd.
To take part in this session, your child/ren will need arts and crafts supplies of their choice. For example:
Paper, pens, paints
Scissors, sellotape, glue
Cardboard, stickers, tissue paper
Fimo, clay, sewing materials etc.
